Young Croydon Composers – BRADFORD & LEEDS
Bradford Music & Arts Service, South Asian Arts UK and Drum The Bass worked in collaboration to provide an amazing composition project open to young musicians across Bradford and Leeds. Our young musicians worked with renowned composers and performers Shri Shiram and Dennis Rollins to create cross cultural, cross genre collaborative compositions funding together South Asian music and Brass Bands.
The project culminated in the production and two performances of four original compositions, premiered at Victoria Hall, Saltaire and Leeds Conservatoire in February 2025 as well as independent performances from talented young people from SAA Uk and Bradford Youth Brass Band.
